ALD Automotive is thrilled to announce its partnership with Avon Wildlife Trust, a prominent charity organisation dedicated to managing over 30 nature reserves in the West of England region of the UK. This collaboration emerges from our shared values of sustainability and a commitment to preserving and enhancing the natural environment in our local community.
Through this partnership, we are providing financial assistance to support the trust's conservation efforts, and we are encouraging our employees to volunteer their time and skills at the trust's reserves. This provides an opportunity for our staff to engage with nature and contribute to a vital cause while also developing their skills and learning more about the local environment.
Amanda Cole, representing Avon Wildlife Trust, conveyed her appreciation, stating: “Avon Wildlife Trust is grateful to ALD Automotive staff and customers for their commitment to working together to champion nature. Between 1970 and 2013, 56% of UK species declined. Of the nearly 8,000 species assessed, 15% are threatened with extinction. This suggests that we are among the most nature-depleted countries in the world. The time to act is now to tackle the twin threats of climate change and biodiversity loss in our region.”
Avon Wildlife Trust not only manages natural landscapes and reserves but also collaborates with other landowners. They work extensively with schools, families, businesses, and communities, to help thousands of people connect with nature and to help protect and enhance nature in our region, alongside their community of supporters.
Our CSR manager, Stewart Warr shared his enthusiasm for partnering with Avon Wildlife Trust, highlighting the opportunity it provides to give back to our local community. Stewart said, “We are proud to partner with Avon Wildlife Trust, as it provides us with a great opportunity to give back to our local community. It also allows our colleagues in our business to actively participate and lend a helping hand, making a positive impact in the lives of those around us.”
