ALD Electric takes a holistic approach to the powertrain shift, offering tailored support across all aspects of the electric journey. We have designed a suite of 14 products and services to make your transition to electric vehicles easier. Through ALD Electric, we'll work with you to identify and support your organisations' unique journey along the Road to Zero.
It's all done on your terms. We'll support you in selecting which parts of ALD Electric will enable your organisation to transition smoothly to a zero-emissions fleet.
The need to transition your fleet to cleaner vehicles is becoming ever more critical. We experience on a near-daily basis the impact of climate change, the effect of CO2 and NOx pollution on health, and the efforts from governments around the world to address air pollution.
In the UK, we have seen a series of initiatives aiming to reduce road emissions. From the introduction of London's Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) and Clean Air Zones (CAZ), to the recent publication of the Government's Ten Point Plan for a Green Industrial Revolution. But, the move that could have the biggest impact towards cleaner road transport is the Government's recent announcement to bring forward the end of the sale of new petrol and diesel vehicles from 2040 to 2030. This is a clear indication that fleets need to change, and in as little as two or three vehicle renewal cycles. This means that now is the time to start planning the integration of electric vehicles (EVs) into your fleet.
Working togeher, we will help transition your fleet to Evs and reduce your carbon footprint.

ALD Electric consists of 14 products and services, each of which are designed to make the transition to electric vehicles (EVs) as straightforward as possible. Each product and service helps to identify challenges before they are encountered so you can address and overcome them before undertaking large-scale adoption of EVs into your fleet.
The need to transition your fleet to cleaner vehicles is becoming ever more critical. We experience the impact of climate change on almost a daily basis through the effects of CO2 and NOx pollution on health. Plus, we have to react to efforts from governments around the world to address air pollution.

Working together, we'll help transition your fleet to EVs and reduce your carbon footprint.
The ALD Mobility Experience (AME) is an exclusive product of ALD Automotive. It brings together key stakeholders from your organisation to take a fresh look at your mobility requirements in an engaging and uniquely insightful way. This fully interactive experience aims to open up a dialogue between us and you, but also between the different parts of your organisation, all with the aim of making your fleet policy align better with your business objectives.
The BEV Try Before You Buy allows your drivers to trial BEVs so that you can evaluate if, and how, BEVs would fit into your fleet. By experiencing the vehicle without any fixed commitment, you and your drivers can ease any concerns you may have around charging, range, driveability and general vehicle suitability.
With EVs, you need to determine what would work best for your drivers. This means having a good understanding of their journeys and mileage. What makes the Driver Suitability Survey different from other EV questionnaires is the targeted analysis that results from it. The Driver Suitability Survey will, for example, identify the drivers who are ready to adopt EVs, those drivers who are not currently suitable, and those who, with a little training or support, could eventually adopt.
With multiple powertrains now available, a Fleet Policy Review will ensure that the correct approach is taken when moving to lower-carbon mobility. This may include reviewing your organisation’s business mileage fuel reimbursement policy, extending the vehicle choice banding and considering various charge point solutions.
The eLCV Evaluation is designed to identify the operational viability of switching from internal combustion engine vans to electric powertrains, and the most suitable vehicles for doing so. We will draw on everything from driver testimony to mileage data, combining it with our own market knowledge to enable the smoothest possible transition to electric vans.
Similar to the State of the Nation presentation, the State of the Nation Electric is a deeper look at the factors that influence EV adoption and the Road to Zero. It covers the current vehicles available in the market, the different EV solutions (BEV, PHEV or hybrid electric vehicle HEV), Government grants, taxation and much more.
Our powerful telematics product ALD ProFleet enables us to record important driver data such as mileage, driving styles, refuelling, driver location and much more. ALD ProFleet helps to get the most out of other products and services within ALD Electric, such as ‘Blue Fleet Trials’, ‘Carbon Footprint Analysis and Report’, and the ‘Future Driver Suitability Analysis (Forecast)’ as it enables us, and you, to get an accurate picture of your driver behaviour.
For many organisations and company drivers, EV re-fulling is a disjointed experience, split between home, workplace and public charging. Our charging solutions solve the charging challenge!
A Blue Fleet Trial allows your organisation to trial battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and/or plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) before making a long-term commitment. But that's not all, you'll get to try out more than just the vehicles - you’ll also get to experience telematics, charge points (both at the workplace and at your employees’ homes), and charge cards so your drivers can access the public charging network. We’ll also capture driver feedback and their experiences, analysing and combining all your data and information into a full report at the end of the trial.
The Carbon Footprint Analysis and Report measures and monitors the environmental impact of your business mileage, and shows how introducing EVs could reduce that impact. It also allows you to track your organisation’s carbon footprint on an ongoing basis as your fleet evolves.
With any new technology, training is vital to its successful adoption. This is certainly true for EVs. Our Driver Training package, delivered in partnership with the AA, covers everything from charging the vehicle to regenerative breaking, so that employees are comfortable with their new vehicles. It all helps to reduce any anxiety around the transition and seamless adoption of EVs.
Using a combination of driver surveys, telematics data, mileage logs and other available operational data, we determine how suitable EVs are for individual drivers, creating an inclusive, flexible and cost-efficient policy. The Driver Suitability Analysis lets you see where adoption is possible and where mitigation or alternative solutions may be required.
State of the Nation is an in-depth look at the issues that are, or will be, affecting fleets. It covers the current vehicle market, the shift from combustion to electric powertrains, air quality, emissions testing, taxation, future mobility trends, and much more. The State of the Nation presentation can be used to drive the discussion around the specific impact of these factors on your fleet, providing you with a clearer picture of how ALD Electric could help you along the journey to zero-emissions, as well as shaping your fleet policy to meet your future needs.
Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) is a key consideration when it comes to adopting EVs – especially as the typically-higher capital cost of EVs can be offset by lower fuel costs and taxation benefits. We use our TCO modelling to determine how EVs could fit into your existing policy, highlighting some of the financial benefits of going electric that may be unclear at first.
